These past few days have been full of death and full of life. First of all, this week we found out that one of our past bible study members died last Saturday after fighting cancer almost all her life. That was definitely a little devastating at first. I hardly knew her, but what I do know was that she was a very sweet young lady who had a heart for the Lord. Also, last week as you know we had baby goat twins born, only to die later the next day. It was very depressing. But on the same day they died, a new life came to be. Spencer, our new baby boy goat was born to our great delight. Healthy, strong, and lovable was he and still is, I'm very happy to say. That Monday afterwards another doe of ours had babies. I was too late the next morning as I found them both frozen to death as it was just way to cold for them to live. That was also very sad because that was the birth we were really looking forward to. But life went on, and I'm very glad that God gave us little Spencer whom we've had to bottle feed now the whole way since the temperatures are too cold for him to stay outside. He's full of life and has certainly helped me get over the grief of loosing 4 baby goats within 4 days. And of course God was the main one who helped me understand that the other babies were just not meant to be. It was hard to accept at first, but with the Lord's help I've gotten over it. Life has gone on. It always does. I'm sure you could name off a few - if not many-different situations that made you hurt or grieve. And it just seemed like life was without a purpose. But it isn't without purpose. Don't grieve for the rest of your life. The Lord wants you to have joy in Him no matter what trials he allows in your life. Remember - THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING. Sometimes we have no idea what that reason may be. But God does. He has a life planned out for you that he so wants you to live...in good times and in bad. As a believer there will always be trials in your life. Sometimes they are tests of how much faith you have in Jesus Christ. And sometimes they are punishments for sin you have committed. God always knows what he's doing. We have no right to question Him. His way is best. It always has been and always will no matter what we think. If you have gone through a recent trial, just know one thing...God loves you. YES, GOD LOVES YOU. He died for your sins so we wouldn't have to pay the punishment for them.
Don't get mad at God simply because things didn't go your way. Accept God's will for your life. He never allows us to go through a trial we can't handle. Pray and ask God for His strength, peace, and comfort as you walk through the flame. Have conversation with Him to grow closer. He loves you so much.
Don't hold on to the past. Look to the future as LIFE GOES ON.
